: Ken,

: There is a connector inside the glove box, under the plastic cover for the motronic unit. Check to make sure it is plugged in proper, it is just a few inches off the main harness.

:
: : i just had a new radio installed in my 89 325i after the installer finished installation my tach was inoperative only it had been working fine before the new radio was installed he blew a fuse and then installed a 10 amp where a 7.5 amp is required any ideas what he might of done to disable my tach.

I looked in my glove box once and noticed that there was a wire with a plug hanging down freely. Sometimes my car's idle doesn't want to fall, period, when the AC is turned on, and sometimes when off. Could this be the problem too (needing to be plugged into something). I can't seem to find where it would go. It's 1" by 1" (approx) and about 2" deep. About 4 guage wire coming out of the back (probably not really 4 guage, but over all size is around 4 guage.) IT appeared to have 2 conductors inside of it. Any clues?

Thomas Goodwin
