bought a 528e cheap cause it had a 'broken transmission' like that... it was a pin in the shifting mechanism which I engineered a fix for $1

: He recently got one with 130k miles. The car is mechanically sound but his shifter recently broke. The stickshift is completely loose, it won't go into gear and can't drive. You can literally just move the shifter in circles. Does anyone know what could be broken?
