It's main design flaw is it is a fan. A fan canot develope pressure like a compressor. Maybe a few inches of water (well under 1 psi). A compressor (supercharger) can develope several psi at very high volumes. The pressure is what forces the air in not the CFM. That is why it doesn't work very good. I shouldn't say that, it does the job it was intended to do, you just won't notice the difference. Someone said there would be heat losses. Heat is a by product of compression. There is virtually no compression so there will be very little loss in volumetric efficincy due to heat from that little fan.
