For all you E30 owners out there, I just got a letter from BMW NA about a new recall regarding your cooling systems. NO, this is not the coolant cap recall, but something more.

This recall was sent during the period of June 93 to April 94, but this is a follow up. It is Recall Campaign No. 93V-015

Anyway, here's what it entails. "To minimize the likelihood that any coolant system malfunction could lead to cracking of the heater core end piece, BMW will install a thermostatic bypass valve in the engine compartment to control the coolant temperature in the heater core. Also, a new design radiator cap will be installed, to control pressure and provide greater coolant overflow in the event of overheating."

So, if you don't feel like having your feet scalded by hot coolant when the heater core blows, go get this recall done.

Hope this helps you guys.

:)Regards
