Actually yes, for about 100 bucks you can buy a factory manual from The Best Source or such. Or what you could do is ask to see if anybody on the fourm has one allready. I haven't had to replace one, but it is located inside the heater box, so you would have to remove most of the center console to get to it, but for step by step instructions, sorry but I am lacking the skills to do that. The other way you could do it is go by a dealership and ask for a copy of the pages covering that. : I had the A/C checked and was informed that it was leaking under the dash at the evaporator and was not holding a charge.
: Is there a manual anywhere that describes the process?
: : Steve,
: : Why do you want to replace your evaporator? Does it leak or have a problem with it? Yes you would have to remove the center console to get to it.
: : : Can anyone tell me how to change out the A/C evaporator? I have a 1988 M3. My Bentley's manual does not give instructions for removing the Heater Box or even if this is necessary to change the evaporator. Any tips?
