: For all you E30 owners out there, I just got a letter from BMW NA about a new recall regarding your cooling systems. NO, this is not the coolant cap recall, but something more.

: This recall was sent during the period of June 93 to April 94, but this is a follow up. It is Recall Campaign No. 93V-015

: Anyway, here's what it entails. "To minimize the likelihood that any coolant system malfunction could lead to cracking of the heater core end piece, BMW will install a thermostatic bypass valve in the engine compartment to control the coolant temperature in the heater core. Also, a new design radiator cap will be installed, to control pressure and provide greater coolant overflow in the event of overheating."

: So, if you don't feel like having your feet scalded by hot coolant when the heater core blows, go get this recall done.

: Hope this helps you guys.
