91 318is w/95 m42 engine, small tick sound (archive)

I just finished installing a 95 m42 engine into my 91 318is. The engine seems to have a small tick. Not very loud but not really quiet either. Does anyone have any ideas where to look? The engine has 70k on it and was bought from a reputable(sp) individual.
