Last night when my car was cold I started it and turned on the a/c. The leaking sound was there but quieter. Then the leaking sound faded away and the a/c started working. After about a minute the sound started fadeing back in and the a/c stopped working again.

I'm guessing when you run out of freon maybe that's just the sound of air in the lines. Anyone know if this is true?

I'm taking it in to check for leaks and a refill Monday. Thanks for the help.
