is there any positive way i can tell its a true 325IS?

It should have a huge deep one-piece front
spoiler, a rear decklid spoiler, bolstered leather
sport seats, 3-spoke "M" steering wheel, OBC, and
a limited slip.

To see if you have an LSD, read the tag on the
rear cover bolt; it should have the ratio stamped
into it (3.73) and should also have a large S on
it. Another way to tell is to raise the rear
tires off the ground and turn one wheel by hand.
If the other wheel turns the same direction, you
have an LSD. If it turns the opposite direction,
you have a regular open diff (not LSD).
