I just had 1.5 pounds of freon added to my 1990 325ic because I thought the a/c wasn't cooling well enough. I still sweat like a hooker in church with the dial on 4 recirculating the air. It's be hovering around 95-100 degrees here for the past couple weeks and i've noticed that anything above 90 and the a/c becomes less and less effective. Don't waste your money on freon.
:( i did.

Ok I have heard many different things about the air should I evacuate the old freon and oil and just have r12 and the oil put back in. Or should I try the pep boys 134a kit they say all you have to do is evacute the old freon and oil and change the o rings and install the new 134a compatable oil and 134a. Or would you recommend just filling the old freon add like a pound or 2? If you know a good bmw mechanic some advice would be real great or just email jeeperpimp2000@yahoo.com

Pep Boys conversion kits are a waste of money. Add some more freon and call it a day.
