I was told the same things about exhaust. 1 hp gain tops. For that matter, I am going to invest in MagnaFlo. only $175, sounds good on 325 and looks hot. If I could get a used Supersprint or something though, I would do that.

I have had a SuperSprint on my '89 iS for the past year. I like it alot. I think it has a great, deep, throaty sound but it is not so loud to be disturbing. I think the tips (straight not DTM) look great too. Overall, I have been very pleased with it.
One important thing to keep on mind, the only reason to put an aftermarket exhaust on 325 is fo the look and sound. I have been told by more than one E30 "expert" that the stock exhaust systems are just to good and if you are lucky you might gain a couple of HP out of an aftermarket system.
What a great sound though...
