325e Cold Starting Problem (archive)

I cannot keep my 86 325e running. The engine will run about 5 seconds and then sputter and stop. Have checked fuel pressure, flow, air sensor, cold start valve, coolant sensors, injector Ohms. The CHECK lite always flashes. The engine acts the same with or without the cold start circuit so it appears that the injectors are working. I have done all the checks recommended in my Bentleys manual. Any ideas?
