I need to replace my timing belt and tensioner on my 87 325ic with 100k (the first was changed at 40k from the previous owner). But when I tried to order online, there was a choice of 127 or 128 teeth belts. How ca I find out which belt that I need to order. Thanks a bunch.

If you replace your timing belt along with tensioner you the only one to choose is the 127 tooth, the 128 were originally installed but is no longer available.
When you order at your dealer just specify that belt and tensioner shpuld be 127 teeth
