H&R springs specific to the iX can still be found in some shops' inventory. They'll provide the springs' rates if you contact them but I believe the drop is about 1/2 front and less in the rear. Korman, Maximillian's, Ireland & Turner - in no particular order - would be my places to check. The factory m-tech springs were still available the last time i checked for about $100/each. buy matching struts & shocks for any spring upgrades.

if you've been in touch with gordon you should have purchased the back issues of his iXChange newsletter. you will not find a better source of technical info. on the iX. there's actually a shop in CA that races iX and they've got a lot of suggestions - all for sale of course. Ireland's also has a cost-effective coil over conversion procedure for the iX but you have send them your stuts. they can add negative camber but review gordon's newsletter first as camber beyond -1 degree puts a lot of stress on the front drive shafts.

cutting the front springs will lower the front and also slightly increase the springs' rate. it's best to take the springs off of the struts but most people seem to do this the quick and easy way with the stuts still fully assembled. iX's seem to eat ball joints in 50K mile increments and i believe it likes struts in the same range. cost-effective to change them all at once as the labor is duplicative.

good luck,

jon
