just changed guibo & CSB...weird smell (archive)

I just finished changing the guibo and CSB on my 318i/A. When driving, after I stop (or sometimes even while still moving) I can smell a distinct burning rubber smell. It's rarely very strong, but it is definitely evident. Anyone know what this could be? My only guess is that the CSB dust cap is rubbing on the rubber mount part as the driveshaft turns and is burning it up (I hope not though, although knowing what it is would be a relief). Any ideas?
