the wiring diagrams were changed somewhat during production - it always helps to have the etm - but you might check the url below. or spend some time poking around the e30 faq's

e30 used a common ground for left & right channels. if your new cd/receiver has > 15w/channel, you'll have to rewire all four speakers. actually, you can get away with just rewiring the rears but the fronts are so easy to do.
