How the hell do you remove the recessed nut at the top of the strut shaft that is recessed into the strut bearing but requires a backup to keep the shaft from turning. The nut requires a 19mm socket. With the socket in place there is no way to get the back up 8mm socket on the shaft. So much for german engineering.

Put a 1/4" drive extension through a 1/2" drive 19mm socket and put an 8mm socket on it.Loosen the 19 with a visegrip while holding the 1/4" ratchet. Worked for me.
