Alternator light goes bright at RPM (archive)

Alternator light is very dim or out at idle and goes bright as RPM's increase. I've replaced voltage reg. & alternator is charging, battery is staying charged. Everything seems to be working fine. Sure could use some help on this one. TIA 88 325iX
