I always assumed they got their data from the motronic ECU so I haven't tried it. I have a motronic wiring harness and i will trace the wires to see if the goto to the ECU. I'll get back to you in a while on that. L-jetronic may not be comptible. Good luck

Tried to search the archives for this, but the search engine ist kaput ? Has anyone put an onbard computer in an old 318i ? I have come up with the console box/computer guts (pn: 65-81-1374-917 VDO mfg). What sensors/inputs does this need ? Looks like a lot of inputs (26pin connector on the bottom of the box. Is there any references as to what models they were used on where i can get the wiring diagrams ? Suggestions ?
