are mintex sport pads good for the street (archive)

Im gettin brake pads soon for my 1987 325iS, the pads that are in my car right now fade when i stop from 40 to a red light, and I saw the add for the mintex sport pads from Rocky Mountain Motorworks, and i was wondering if these pads are good for like normal street use, and occassional "spirited" driving..
and suggestions?
