can you just tape the AFM flap open?
or does the computer need the flap to adjust air\fuel mixtures

The engine will hardly run at all. The computer
needs to know the airflow to set the right
fuel flow. I have seen this tested on an M10B18
engine where the AFM was stuck open. It would
only just idle, and it was impossible to start
once it stopped.
