P.S. Have you looked into rebuilding yours? I don't know what the cost is, but at least you'll know it's a good one... A used transmission may only last 6 months, then you'll have to start all over. Also a 5spd is much much cheaper to fix, you didn't mention what you needed...

I need a used or rebuilt trans to put in my 86 325es. I would like to hear where others have gotten one (junk yards, parts warehouses, individuals, etc..) and what the cost/reliability was. I am trying to see how much money I need to get back on the road. If anyone has one laying around and you are in Texas or Oklahoma, I'm interested. Thanks.
