Previous post to the tire/wheel forum got no response.

Just got a set of Firestone Firehawk SH30 tires for my 85 318i (size P195/60HR14). When i use 30 pounds (which is about spec from the door sticker on the car) in all four tires, the car feels a bit "soft" in the corners, like it wants to slide and roll more than im use to. Old tiers (Cooper Lifeline II) were not the right size but felt more stable in hard corners. Of course, with the Coopers, the gerneral ride quality suffered a whole lot, and i had to horse her around more.

Have tried running 31 up front and 34 in back. That helps, but still does not feel as solid as i would like. So, more air, more differential between front and rear, or ??? I normally have a 60 pound bag of sand in the boot for rain.

Thanks for any suggestions.
Wolfgang Klinger ;)
