I am thinking of turboing the i motor. Has anyone out purchased/seen/have comments regarding this kit? Are there other kits out there? Mosselman etc.? The korman website gives little info. and frankly I don't believe there 241hp claim on only 6 psi of boost.

I'm thinking of using part of an existing kit and then improving on it (i.e. front mount intercooler, programmable efi, ball bearing turbo, low compression engine, high boost).

Any comments are much appreciated. Any suggestions where I might find used parts, most notably an exhaust manifold for the small six are also appreciated.

Regards,

Steve

We've got a used 325i turbo kit. I believe it's a mosselman which may be what Korman sells. If you're interested we also sell new supercharger kits for the E30 325i's. A general rule of thumb for forced induction is that you can expect a 40-45% increase in power with 5 lbs of boost. This figure varies with engine efficiency. If you're interested in our super charger system you can check it out on Machschnell.com. Call us 978.465.2002 if you're interested in the turbo.

Mike
