For Mike.
Why would you think that the warning light on the dash will make the AC generator not to work. It's in parallel!?
Do you have a built in regulator? Is it in the DME? I don't know where it is in your car.
Here some tips.
Check for :The battery ,the regulator(if it's not in the DME, High resistance in the positive cable that goes to the battery from the generator,Loose conections.Good luck.
