I have bought my fair share of parts from him and he can be trusted for a very fair price for very good parts. Quick delivery also. I got the electric sunroof from him. Very happy customer! He will have the prices you can live with.

if you're looking to do this, I've got the parts on an '87 325i that I'd sell you. I've got everything except the interior switch. E-mail me if interested

Hey Jack,
I recently did this to my 318i. The nice thing about this mod is that the wiring harness isn't integrated, start to finish it is by itself. I pulled mine off an 85 318i. I got the servo/cable which is in front/left engine compartment. You will want to get the plastic cable fitting on the throttle body. Computer and bracket which is above glove compartment(look way up there, it is aluminum and about 5x4x1.5 in. in size.) Complete harness. I got all the above for 48 bucks at a pull it yourself yard and bought the switch new for $100 at the dealer. The only thing that requires the bently manual is determining the speedo wire to splice in on. On my 84 it is the brown/red wire on the white connector for the instrument panel.
Now this the simpler cruise control, from 86/87 on BMW went to a cruise control that had more features but I would imagine the only thing different is the computer and switch along with a few extra wires between them. Just a guess.
The car I pulled mine out of was a automatic and mine is stick so I had to hook up a micro switch to the clutch pedal. I cut the yellow wire going to the column switch and wired it to the micro to break continuity on it when clutch pedal was pushed in. If you have an automatic then there is just a wire for the brake switch, which has to be hooked up either way. It was a fun simple mod. I have my whole dash removed this weekend along with every interior panel to install power windows, locks, and sunroof as well as a newer dash. A lot of work, the cruise control was a breeze in comparison and has been working without problems for two months. The trick in all this is finding the parts at a price you can live with.

Good luck,
Jeff
84 318i

I had E-30 eta without cruise control, is that possible to put a cruise control into my car?
