Thanks for the comments. I was able to get the drivers side control arm off after much wrangling! But there was no way I was going to get the passenger side control arm off. After putting the car back together - new rotors and bearing (oh, that is another story) and the new arm back on - it went on GREAT - I drove her up to my mechanic. He is going to charge me $95 to put it on.

Oh well, I learned a ton and that is what counts!
