I agree, I dont think there is a plug or adapter on any side of the ICV. I do know that there are a lot of "kluge" fixes where they mention restricting the airflow into the ICV for idle problems.

If indeed that is the case, then your ICV is obviously not working. Either the ICV is not closing enough to bring the idle down, or the idle control module is malfuntioning.

A Bently manual has tests for each part of the system.
