I would appreciate any tips on how I can get my rearview mirror back on my '91 318is. There is an extremely high-pressure spring that prevents me from pushing the 2 nubs back into the housing. I have tried lubing the area, and using force.

Any suggestions?????

Get one nub lined up and smack it in. ( More Force)
