top speed 128 mph

89 325i 4 door
2840 lbs
$26,280
0-60 mph 7.5 sec
0-100 mph 22.7 sec

89 325is RIP

I took my 1988 325e to Cayuga Draqway Park on Friday. I don't think these were the best times since my standard transmission skills are very new but here is the best time!

R/T ...1.252
60' ...2.672
330 ...7.403
1/8 ...11.379
MPH ...61.94
1000 ...14.772
1/4 ...17.639
MPH ...79.61

BTW my tires were balding on the inside of the
rears so I couldn't hook up as good as I wanted
to. I wish I had a 325is or an M3 because the
325e has no top end!

The magazine also tested a 325e before and after
some mods were done:

325e (year unknown)
0-60 mph 8.1 sec
1/4 mile 16.2 @ 83 mph

Same 325e but with chip, “i” cam, 3.73 gears
0-60 mph 7.2 sec
1/4 mile 15.6 @ 87 mph

Randy
