My E30 with a 328 engine regularly is a 13 sec car and the 0-60 times are in the 5 sec range.

i have a 1989 325is w/ a super eta , ported head, cam, chip, 4.10 dif, custom stromung, and it runs high 13's in the 1/4 mile
