Yesterday I bought a 325es and it has a 12 disc cd changer in the glove box. The glove box opened fine yesterday when I used the cd changer and put my sunglasses and proof of insurrance in it. Last night I locked the glove box when I went into my house. This morning it won't open. I have tried everything. Even when I turn the key to the lock position, there is no tension on the handle. Does anyone have any suggestions?

Just went out and looked at mine. This might help: The back of the glove box is hinged and 3 screws fasten the glove box to the hinge. You'll need an open end 8mm metric wrench or socket to take out the screws. Removing these will allow the glove box to drop down some in the back and you should be able to get your hand up in there to remove the strap on either side of the glove box. Now the hard part...the latch itself has a metal retainer on each side that snap out inside a metal bracket above the glove box. These retainers are spring loaded and must be pushed in to release the latch. My guess is that your springs are broken and so it now won't open. My other thought was to remove the radio and snake your arm over to the latch bracket and release each side, but you'd have to have an awfully skinny arm. Hope this is somewhat helpful.

Neal
