Today, I made a commitment to buy a 1988 325is (Arctic White ext., Tan (leather)int.) The exterior is superb (9 out of 10), however, the bolster on the driver's seat has a hole approx. the size of a 50-cent piece. In addition, the portion of the driver's seat, immediately under the driver's left leg, is a little "crazed" and could use recovering, or conditioner/hide food. The back seat is virtually as new. The exterior rubber/plastic is very nice, but I have heard of a product called "Back to Black" to make it even better (tires also?). I have always used Armorall on my 911, with great results over a 25 year period - is "Back to Black" a better product for this use? I seek recommendations for specific products to bring both the exterior and interior up to snuff. I am reluctant to cover the great-looking sports seats with lambswool, or other, covers, and have thought of either settling for matching vinyl panels on the seat, or covering the hole with a large, "band-aid" material, as it is not an area which is actually sat on, but merely brushed against on the way to the "throne". Also, the front right headlight is badly cracked, as is the fog light immediately below. I seem to remember seeing advertised a plastic headlight shield that fits over the headlight and fog light lenses - does anyone know the source and price of such a product? Also, is there a metal grill that fits over the fog lights? Any and all recommendations for specific products will be very gratefully received! Thank you, Steverino4
