Your distrbutor has 2 vacuum hoses. One for advance, one for retard. They hook up on the throttle body. If you look at the TB, on each side of the throttle plate, you will find a connection for your hoses. One is specifically for the retard, the other one for the advance. I do not recall which goes where.

Can anyone on the board tell us if advance is upstream or downstream of the throttle plate?
