Here in California, it is apparently illegal to drive without a front license plate, however, I know one individual who has driven without a front license plate in CA for 13 years without a problem. When the front license plate is removed from my car (1988 325is) there is a gap between the plastic bumpers, leaving the bare metal exposed. Is there a replacement part to fill this void? And what is the rationale for insisting on both front and rear plates? Steverino4
