don't you have to shift a lot? how is your top speed? what's the engine rpm at say 55 on the interstate?

I've got 3.90 in my 87 325e and works perfect for me

my opinion too... 3.25 was good for me... maybe 3.46

I wil be removing the differential from my 1989 325i this week to replace it with a 4.10 L.S from an M3. Make a reasonable offer. I would rather not ship it as I wouldmuch prefer to have the purchaser look at it. I am in South Florida. This would be excellent for a 325e.

that's too much gear for a stock 325e.... just my opinion.

I took the car out and ran it at 55 in fifth. The engine was turning about 2500 rpm. Not excessive. Bear in mind that this is in fifth, so a 5 speed should have no problem handling it.
