I've got a beautiful 318i in northern New England (Bavarian Auto country) and it is having a problem idleing. I've located the problem to the mass air flow sensor. Average price to replace this unit (which I'm told is very sensitive) is roughly $400. Judging by the hot wire price for a 325, which bypasses the "barn door" version, it would make more sense to me to find a 318 hot wire system for the car. I'm not putting the car back on the road until the spring shows so I have time to develope or modify my own. Can anyone tell me if they know where I could purchase this system "turn key" so I can engage in a normal human social life with my girl friend? Give a skinny white boy a break, I need a vacation!
