Oops, maybe I phrased the question wrong.

I have had the bushings pressed into the "lollipops", but I can't get the entire assembly back on to the control arm. Does that entire lollipop have to be pressed on as well?

Ok...what the heck is a "lollipop" in this context? Are you refering to the ball joint ass'y at the wheel side of the control arm? The "control arm bushing" is at the other end of the control arm which is mounted to the under carriage. Which part are you working on?
