Chip, exhaust, intake, suspension? (archive)

Time to sweeten up on my 87 325is. Any suggestions for the following mods?
Chip -Jim C or Dinan
Intake - Worth doing or wasting my time - I live in AZ, so HOT air could be a problem.
Exhaiust - I want some more power, some but not alot more noise (especially not a deep bass sound, I like the current tone, just wouldn't mind more of it) and do not want to spend a bundle on muffler (would consider a Dynomax, Magnaflow or other similar set up in lieu of one of the high $$$ ones).

The car is primarily for track use but still must be streetable, and so any suspension thoughts would be appreciated, too.
