I own an 87 325is and for all intestive purposes I know it is great. Yes wasting a 318 at a stop light (which I have never done) could be cool...but it could also be about getting past other 325s. Which I have done. As far as the turns go...I took several at well over 100 last night and am still alive to tell the tale, would you like to hear it? I would love to go to a drivers school...and I am sure I would be humbled if that is what is needed, but I would not go into it thinkng that I am the bomb because there are alot more people out there with more experiance and faster cars. Yes I am a collage student, and I dont even have to stop to think how fortunat I am. I know, and if you have read many of my posts, alot of them end with somthing to the effect of I LOVE MY CAR. I am not really sure where the randomness of this post came from other than just feeling like yelling at a bunch of people for no apperent reason, yes it is my fault that I own a 325 instead of a 318. Arn't you, by yelling at us with 325s arn't you "killing what BMW is about. "It's not only a brotherhood but a reliability and love for every bimmer out there." I don't feel this stong brother hood and love from my fellow e30 318 owner. Your son should be happy. If my parents gave me a bmw I would be extactic too.

working on growing up...

I own a 91 318is and for all intentive purposes i think its great. I know you 325 guys think that getting out past a 318 on a stop light is cool, but I'm sure if you had to make turns at 90 mph you'd all be dead. My suggestion is to go to a driving school like I did, that will humble you very much. Most of you sound like college kids anyway, did you ever stop to think how fortunate you are to even own a bimmer...you've all killed what BMW is about. It's not only a brotherhood but a reliability and love for every bimmer out there. Now I'd also like to mention that I'm upgrading to a 540i 6 and will have to do a bit of bragging of my own. However, my kid is getting the 318 and he is the happiest person in the world. Grow up
