Can anyone tell me if a steering wheel hub adapter for an
earlier (non airbag) car will fit a 91 318is? thanks

I replaced my bag-wheel in my 91 318i with a momo wheel and hub kit from my 89 325is, the steering columns looked identical and I had no problems after getting that damn! air bag out. You will have to remove the big rubber filler piece from the column that fills in the gap between the bag-wheel and column, though. Also, I had to play with a couple of different sized washers that BMW mount their steering wheels with. You can get them in different sizes from your BMW parts dealer. The purpose of these is have slight clearance between the wheel and the column. You know you need a bigger size if the steering wheel squeals will turning it throughout its range. DON'T place two washers on top of each other. These spacer-washers come in different sizes for a reason!!!
