Climate control problem (archive)

Can anyone help with this problem please.
My BMW 320 has climate control. But the temperature is stuck on blowing warm (not hot) air - even if I turn the control to both extremes of the scale. Also the air con has stopped working.
The temp sensor is clear of dirt and the air con pump's drive belt is OK.

When taking the centre consule out, i notice there is a box of electronics - is this a control unit for the climate control ?

Can anyone suggest any options please.
