Engine Timinig 318i EWuropean M40 engine (archive)

Can any one help me get this engine set up for TDC and renewing the timinig belt,
Its a 318i European model, M40 Engine.
There are no marks on the front of the cranlshaft.
The British 318 series " Haynes manual" says there is a hole in the flywheel. I found this but how do i set it up on TDC using this. The book also says, use a drill and pass it through the engine block, but at what area of the block?

Any help would be great.
