Sorry to butt in here, $2,000 for an entire paint job? That is low. Assuming there is no body work you're telling me that you can fully strip a car, mask it and paint it using the Glasurit for $2,000? You should move out to Los Angeles because I paid $1,200 to have the nose of my car painted from rock chips over the years. The job is perfect and shines like a mirror-no haze or peel.

I agree with the aformentioned-if you're going to change the color of a car there is NO WAY you're going to tell me that you would charge $2,000 to dismantle the car to paint everything from the engine compartment, trunk, doorjams (way underneath carpet), replace all the seals, all glass and paint using a BMW paint and clear coat if needed. I have a buddy that had his 525i painted for $1,800 and it sure looks like it. You always get what you pay for!

Sorry my friend, if the paint job is done well your going to add value to the car especially if previous paint is coming off. When i paint a car i will generally add 1500$ to the value of the vehicle, mostly from my laboe since the 3 step coat (primer, base, clear) will run about 150-350$ depends on color and amount. A color change usually involves extra time but isn't that bad if done properly. 10k$ for a paint job, you sure are getting ripped off, most of us only charge 2k$

I would however get the little things fixed on this car before it is put out on the market.
