Try wiggling them, if the light flickers on/off, then the switches are your problem. In all of e30s, past and present, this seems to be the problem if the lights stay on or off all the time (they also screw up activation of your alarm if the affected door is opened, trust me, I almost lost one of babies!). If these door pin switches are your problem, don't worry they are CHEAP! All you need to remove them is a phillips' head screwdriver for the one screw!
