I have the ecu out.... trying to pry apart the two electronic panels. Are you understanding me correctly? I may not have explained it well enough. I've done this job several times before on a different car and didn't have any trouble at all, this really has me miffed! I just don't want to break a circut board with all the tugging and crap I've been doing. I'm doing my best to be patient with the process.Aaron.
Have any of you opened an ECU on a 325is? My 88 325is is a tad different than the ECU on my old 88M3. The M3 had flat tabs that you push down to release the upper board from the lower. The 325is has little round tabs that don't want to budge! Can anyone enlighten me on how to break the seal so I can get inside to the chip? I gently pryed on it for two hours last evening and didn't get anything done:(
Thanks for the help.
Aaron.
Did you remove all of the little screws holding the boards in place? (silly question but there is no secret to getting these boards out)
