These switches are mounted at the top of both pedal arms. They tell the cruise main unit when you depress either the brakes or clutch so it can shut the cruise off. The brake switch also doubles as the brakelight switch, or actually vice-versa. More often than not, the clutch switch becomes misadjusted (is that a word?!?) and the cruise unit thinks that the clutch is engaged and will never cut on. The bracket that holds this switch is made of sheet metal and from normal clutch use likes to bend. What you want to do is remove the cardboard panel (lower part of dash) to gain access. Look at the top of the clutch pedal and find the switch, which is similar to a brake light switch. Bend the bracket toward the front of the card a little. You want it to be in a position so that when you bearly tap the clutch, you hear a pop come from the switch from it opening. The switch works like this: clutch up/switch closed.....clutch depressed/switch open. You'll have abetter understanding of all this when you check it out.
By the way, e30s are just modern '02s!!!!
