Hi Everyone!
I have had this problem with this car ever since I bought it and was hoping someone could help me. Sometimes when I turn off the ignition, and take out the key my heater/cooling fan continues to run but at other times it is fine. I have adapted to the situation by turning off the fan everytime I turn off the car but I sometimes forget. I am afraid I might end up draining the battery. What should I look at to cure this problem: a relay, a fuse?.
Omer.
P.S My window controls work without the key in the ignition as well. The difference being that the windows work like this all the time but the heater fan does it sometimes.
Something is feeding power to were an acc switched power should be.was the car bought used? do you have an alarm,if not just in case-check under your steering column for an alarm, and check how the wiring was done thourghj the + - ignition,etc..disconnect the wire harness to the alarm and see it the problem is solved. if not then check for other wires that looked o be tampered with.you shouldnt be able to use your windows with the key off....you definitely have power were you shouldnt always have.this may be leaving your fan relay on the on position.and if it doesnt always do it,then the relay is working of a drain source that was triggered by the mislead current........
