does the 90 mustang sensor work for the 89 325i 3 wire type. if so,or not, which year mustang will it work for???

02 sensors are basically of 2 types: 1 wire and 3 wires (preheated). The 1 wire sensor can be made by BOSCH and bought for around $35 (check Vertex in Miami) or from another manufacturer for $5-10 cheaper, for domestic cars.

The E30 requires the 1 wire sensor. You are lucky. And yes any 1 wire sensor from a Mustang would fit.

It depends on the year of your E30 if it is one wire or three wires. My 89 325i and both of my 92 325ic's have 3 wire sensors.
