I think the early '90 model is best(cause I have one). It has a non-airbag steering wheel and all the good stuff but not the ugly bumpers. OBC, LSD, M wheel, suspension, etc. They are all there, and the car is stable, rock solid, reliable, and fun! Mine had 197k on the clock when I bought it in '99 and I've tracked it several times and it still runs like a top. Mine was built in July of '89 and is titled as a '90 but I think it really is more like the '89's.
If your car is titled as a 90, then it's simply
been titled incorrectly sometime in it's past.
It can happen, cause i have an old 63 Datsun
pickup incorrectly titled as a 62 :-)
The first build date of the 90 models is 9/89
and the last build date of the 89 models is 8/99,
so your car is a late 89 for sure. All 90 models
came with airbags starting with build date 9/89
as well as sealed beam headlights. I'll bet your
car has the ellipsoid headlights right?
